Dev Horn I've noticed that the big 200+ people meetings are usually littered with newbies. Since I'm a newbie that's not who I want to meet. The one I go to is on the small side but most of the folks there are older and have been in the game a while. I go to NTAREI and really like it.

*********** one thing newbies may want to keep in mind is that REI groups are no place for wallflowers. Be friendly. Shake hands. Smile. Look people in the eye. If people ask what your niche is, don't just stand there going " uhhhh, well, I'm not really sure." Know what you want. Don't wait for people to approach you. Go up and introduce yourself!!

Actually am about to go to the one I belong to now. Every meeting I have attended has yielded at least one (if not several) pieces of useful information and/or a connection.

Personally, I use Google voice so I know when an incoming call is RE related. I answer every one of them.....I don't like doing business with people who don't answer calls and I figure other people are the same.

A good way to build a buyers list is to attend your local REIA.

If this is a question about wholesaling, then the money you need is for marketing to possibly motivated sellers. There is no way around that. If you are using direct mail, you could be spending around $1 per mail piece give or take.

I used Lexington Law....I think it was $100 a month and you pay for one month at a time. I only used it for two months. It worked for me. They can only get incorrect or inaccurate items removed. You can actually do this yourself if you do a little research.

$700 seems like a lot of money.

I use Investway, which is a paid site, although I have been considering using RealQuest.

FindCompsNow has been frustrating....seems inaccurate and when I tried to join, they send me a username and password that NEVER works.
