Are the banks usually flexible with the price on these short sales?? Like, do I have a chance of a lower offer getting accepted?? (I know 18k is already pretty low)

I see a short sale condo on the MLS in my area for with an asking price of 18k.

If I buy it will I own the property out right or am I just paying 18k to take over the existing mortgage which has a greater balance than 18k??

Hey again BP,

I realize this is an old thread, but I'm currently trying to figure out around how much I can expect to pay for property management in center city Philadelphia. The property would be a 410 sq. ft. condo (1 bed 1 bath).

Will I have to pay by percentage of the rent I chrage, or are there flat rates available I'm the area??

Anybody familiar with condo investing in center city Philly??

Thank you Wayne

Any estimate on how much I can expect to pay for the homeowners insurance on a 1152 sq. ft., 2 bedroom 1.5 bath, two story w/ a garage?? It is owned by a condominium ownership, but I'm not exactly clear on whether or not they insure the structure. The agent for the property told me that these condos are FHA approved, and that if I were to move in all I would have to insure is my belongings...if that helps you answer my question any.

Whenever I'm putting numbers into a mortgage calcualtor, it asks you to put in homeowners insurance costs per year.

Right now I'm looking to buy a townhouse that belongs to an HOA like a condo would. (I'm a first time buyer)

Will homeowners insurance HAVE to be integrated into my mortgage payment every month??
Also will I HAVE to get PMI on my mortgage??

Ok so, a Bank of America loan consultant told me earlier today that no one is giving out home loans with 0% down anymore. Is this really true or are there still some lenders out there that will??
