Hello @Frank J contreras, if you start a meet up group i’d be interested I am from Santa Cruz and there is only one either meet up group that I am aware of other than that I attend meet up groups from the bay area.

I am also from Santa Cruz. I currently got my first property in Modesto but want to invest in the area. There is a local meet up that happens once a month if you guys are interested.

Hello @Neil Polehn, Santa Cruz is expensive. I live in Santa Cruz as well but I recently got my first property in the valley. Best of luck to what ever Decision you make. 

Hello @Matt Padlo I am new to REI as well. I am also from Santa Cruz. My fiancé and I are actually looking to acquire our first property in Turlock. This Saturday we will be out there looking at properties. Hopefully soon we will find a good deal.

@DJ Dawson you mention a second loan option, do you mean going threw the pre approval process with different lenders or just giving them my numbers and talk to them and see what numbers look better?

Hello @Derek Jones, I tried a local lender and a broker. Now am trying another local mortgage lender.

Congratulations on your approval. I Have been trying for about a little over a month and no luck. The first lender said that i should save a little more money, so that slowed me down. Then I decided to try someone else and they were hard to communicate with and now I set an appointment with a third lender. I sure hope my luck turns around.
