One of the things I like most about being a real estate entrepreneur is the variety. Every deal is different, every seller is selling for their own reasons, etc. This deal was unique because the seller's "button" was actually her dog! That's right, come to find out, her DOG was the key to her selling her house.

Never overlay your beliefs on to your sellers. People sell for their own reasons, your job is to find out what their reasons are, and give them what they need so you can get what you need.

Here is the story in a 6 minute video. I'd love to hear what you think. :)

@Account Closed You're right ALS is definitely one of the worst ways to go. As for Matt's video, I haven't seen it yet, hope he did it. My buddy Kenny (and Bluemountan) put out a pretty solid video today.

@Account Closed That is awesome!

I found out the reason people can't see the video from mobile devices is because I used a song (Welcome to the Jungle) that is copywrited. For some reason you can view it on computers though. Weird.

Yeah, it's for a good cause, the video was a tribute to my friend and neighbor who died from ALS. It's a pretty terrible way to go.

Totally off topic, but here was my ice bucket challenge video:

Hope it inspires you to participate and donate to this good cause.

@Mark Campo Hey Mark, I have a good video of a seminar I taught on marketing, negotiating, and closing deals with seller financing. I'm actually considering how I'm going to use it in the future. It is 3 hours of meat. If you PM me I will shoot you the private link.

@Michael Lemieux Yeah, I'm not sure who was the first to say that quote (Zig Ziglar?) but it is definitely true in every aspect of life. You should definitely check out the video. I start watching it sometimes and get drawn in again. Aaron is just so interesting to listen to, he has such an interesting perspective and style.

Lol. You really are a foosball guy. I never would have guessed that you would have had that hidden talent. Seriously, I thought I was good at foosball, till you worked me over Goat Hill Tavern style. Ridiculous.

@Account Closed Thanks! It was actually a negotiation point with the seller, I knew she wanted to see the remodel done right. Since it didn't cost me any more to give her what she wanted there it definitely worked out. I actually offer that to a lot of sellers, but most of them don't really care.

The kids were fabulous weren't they? They actually didn't really know they were being recorded, we read our normal bed time books then I just transitioned into the last book and it was seamless. ;)
