Hey there, without seeing a picture based off of what I'm imagining I'd see if you can find a clear caulking to cover it. I'm not sure how visible it is but they make caulking for sinks. Hope this helps!
I'm having the same issue. I'd really like to join a meetup group in the Bay Area.

Hi all, My partner and I will be in the Boise, Meridian, Eagle area tomorrow and we would love to connect with an agent/investor. We are primarily looking at SFH and want to use the buy and hold method because we will be moving to the area soon. If anyone is in the area please feel free to contact me. Have a great day! -Vince

Hey

@Jeff Wallenius, thank you for getting back to me. Ill get right on that and see what I can turn up!

Hey BP!

So there is this house that I worked by that is your classic distressed/Jumanji house. I would take my walks by it everyday and always thought it would be a great place to flip/BURRRR, but didn't have a clue how to. Now that I am on Bigger Pockets, I decided to drive by the place tonight and saw that it was even more run down.

Through the research I've done I can see that it was last bought in 1996 and was built in the early 1900's. Ive spoken to the neighbors and they believe its owned by two sisters who inherited the house. From my now 5 years of walking past it I can speak on the fact that it hasn't been worked on. It is in San Leandro close to BART. The home is in a booming location close to a elementary school and public parks, as well as a business park. Also it is located closely to the freeway.

I'm really looking for an investor who wants to take it easy. Possibly to partner up. Someone who I can bust my *** on my end, while learning their end. Id like to be as much involved as possible. Thank you for looking!

Hey all,

Thank you for all of the responses. I don't believe that I will be taking the self directed route. I do have a question for some of the Pro's though. If you were in my shoes at 23yo would you cash out all of your retirement funds and take the hit now, or continue to save for a down payment. Im working with about 15k between IRA/ Roth IRA. Im super pumped and want to get the ball rolling!

Hi Scott,

Thank you for the reply. Have you used that company personally?

Hi all,

As you see from my subject line i have a quick question about IRA's. Does anyone have any experience using an IRA to fund a deal? I've read that you can take up to 10K out for your first home purchase. Can someone please guide me on the steps required. I'm super pumped because this is going to help fund my first deal.

THANK YOU ALL!!!
