Having 2 STR's on either side of him I understand his concerns but absolutely don't agree with one pointing directly over into my back yard pool area. 100% creepy…

Looks like a section of tall fence is in order. 

Everything I’m reading is saying it’s legal which is crazy. It is my private fenced in back yard which to me, should be considered private. 

Private STR home with private pool in fenced in back yard. Neighbor puts up a nest cam on his high back fence pointing right over into our back yard where the pool is.

I confronted him about it twice already cordially but he gave some BS excuse saying he can see down his fence line with that cam. I explained that we’re not comfortable with the camera pointing over in our yard even if it’s on the fence line. The last time he told me that it wasn’t even working but it still has power and the infrared lights light up. 

From the reading I’ve done it seems that he would lawfully be allowed to have the camera there unless it’s pointing directly at a door? Does anyone know if this is correct? I’m close to calling LE regardless to check as he’s not willing to be a decent neighbor and work with us.

We received our first complaint about it tonight from a renter which I knew would happen sooner or later. 

My current insurance provider is quoting me for an HO-3 policy. Is this the correct policy for a STR? We're in PCB as well.

We’re in PCB and have considered offering one but I think your specific location should be considered. Is there a main hwy nearby that they might travel on? How close is beach access? What type of clients typically stay in your area? We’ve decided there is too much risk involved with where our house is located and given the above questions. 

I’m totally good with twice a week but I need to call around for a more reasonable price. $400/mth isn’t in the budget. Should I be shooting for certain days/times of the week for service visits? Thank you all for the info. 

New pool this year for our STR here in the Panhandle. Looking at pool companies for service. I'm hearing it needs to be serviced at least twice a week as a rental? Is this correct? If so, my budget for pool cleaning was way off ($150/mth vs $400/mth). How often are you having your pool checked and cleaned for your STR? Any other tips or advice on this would be great.
