Post: Best "up and coming" areas in Cincinnati!

Can I add neighborhoods in Northern KY? I'm a big fan of Newport (updates to Newport on the Levee, the Ovation Pavillion), Dayton, Bellevue and Ludlow. Each of these neighborhoods has great proximity to downtown Cincy.

And for anyone looking a little farther out, the Erlanger/Elsmere are both areas that tend to get overlooked but have moderately priced single-family and occasional multi-family. Both of these areas are pretty close to the airport and with the Amazon distribution center that just opened, this will continue to be great for a tenant base.

Hey everybody!

This meetup continues to grow and will continue to be a monthly meeting at a local brewery and/or pub. We will meet on the first Thursday of every month. There is currently no agenda; instead, I'd really just like to provide networking opportunities and give people a chance to meet other investors. I think it can feel a bit lonely out there and I'd like to be able to encourage other investors when possible.

Ultimately, I'd like to be able to invite speakers to come to the meeting so that we can discuss targeted topics that are helpful to the group. For now, it'll just be networking. If you have any questions, please respond to this post or DM me and I'll do my best to answer any questions.

Looking forward to meeting a few new people!

@Sam McCormack I'd love to talk if you're interested. I also own rental property in Northern KY and have a pretty good handle on the area.

@Zachary Elliott I was saying zoom if you did a fully virtual meeting. How many people usually show up? I have an idea for a location depending on headcount.

Usually fewer than 15 but it feels like we are growing, so I'd like to plan on a few more. Shoot me a DM and we can talk location.

We usually meet in the barrel room but sometimes it is closed and we are outside. Worst case scenario, just shoot me a message and I'll respond. I typically keep a pretty close eye on my phone in case new people show up or reach out.

I am considering making a change (possibly inviting someone to speak), but I'm not sure where I could hold the meeting so that it would be good for in-person and an online option. I'm open to ideas.

@Tanvir Sattar Thanks for the shourtout. Just for clarification @Jason Shine, I don't think @Lance Castillo is still doing his virtual meetup anymore, but we are still meeting on the first Thursday of each month at Madtree. I'm looking to possibly change the venue soon to accommodate some virtual folks, but as of right now I'm still looking. If anyone has any thoughts, I'm open.

I have my qualifications posted on a public note in Notion and I share the link to that note with all potential applicants before they apply. As the other people have indicated, I don't allow for exceptions and both of these things help show that my screening process is fair and applied equally to all.

Have you considered Northern Kentucky in your search?
