We did a 100% gut/rehab on a 1950's house in 2018 and converted it to a duplex, turned out beautiful, salvaged the original wood floors in parts of the house, put good LVP in the rest, simple plastic mini blinds on every window.

This whole thing reminds me of the commercial where someone tries to do surgery because they stayed at a LaQuinta Inn & Suite.     

If you need a complicated surgery, that doctor is going to be expensive because of their skills and abilities to save your life.

We have a Pottery Barn table at our personal house and we would not buy it again knowing what we know.There was a lady I know that got bedroom furniture that was made out of plastic material and looked good.

I buy a underground lawn sprinkler head , buy the key in a plastic bag with some oil and bury it someplace easy to find . 

A drain pan is a $50, maybe $100 piece of plastic that should have already been there unless they cracked it trying to install their washer. 

Mostly appeals to larger family units but we've had traveling nurses bringing their family, folks needing a place for outpatient surgery, also people between moves, etc. 

People have told me they have bought a plastic tub to put on the counter in order to do their dishes.

Lowes used to have some nice material, but then they cheapened it and it looks more like plastic again (it used to have a faux wood grain).

When you do ceilings you only have to paper/ plastic the light fixtures and maybe some smoke alarms, you can hang plastic over windows, but the paint is usually dry before it hits them and wipes off easily.
