Google the name of the city and look at its Wikipedia page, the local chamber of commerce page, and whatever else comes back.Once I decided to retire in Florida, I then had to decide where in Florida.

You're likely wanting to look at Census data for your research but the Chamber has some other good resources as well: https://orangeburgchamber.com/...

Talk with local investors about who they use and maybe check with your local chamber of commerce.

Most of the cheap ones, like the InSinkErator Badgers, have a plastic grind chamber which will crack and leak.  

Then that “truthy” opinion gets reposted in the echo chamber and once it’s heard enough, confirmation bias sets in and you’re convinced that it is true and the brain rejects anything that does not fit in with your now ingrained belief system.

The underlying issue is like you said: true unbiased journalism is extinct and has devolved into rivaling echo chambers vying for clicks to sell ads.

Things like the Chamber of Commerce, Young Republicans, Lyons Clubs and networkGo to all of the new business openings in your area.
