Creating good will is one  way to encourage (yes encourage, not guarantee) the type of behavior you want from them. 

Good luck at whatever you do, but whatever you do, don't give up....something good will come out of any effort you put in compared to being stagnant and doing nothing at all.

Even if you have zero liability, with this, a little help in repairing may buy you some more goodwill for the rest of the duration of the warranty.

It takes some time, but there’s plenty of YouTube videos of learning how to flip books and other items on amazon and eBay from goodwills and such that can translate to real estate later in life.Read Scott Trenches “Set for Life” and househack as soon as possible.

@Mike Mosby I used a combination of pay for delete calls, goodwill letters and emails, and started out with a little secured credit card with a $300 limit :)

This will be your first step into gaining massive credibility and goodwill.

Its cheap and cheerful to check goodwill, you will find great stuff (bed sheets and blankets for 10$) 3.

Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will.

Perhaps you can donate the space to a community group while it sits empty... get a tax write off a the very least and build good will for the future

If in doing so, you have intent of goodwill, always.
