I guess I am simply finding myself struggling to free mental space to believe it's actually possible to become "financially independent" , and not just another pyramid scheme, book or, no offense intended "social networking site" etc.

I'm definitely a newbie =) I shared my personal experience at the request of another member - apologies if it was offensive to anyone in any way.Domicile Consulting is the inspection company I used - several of their inspectors including the owner/founder have had experience w/ PFR.

Those that responded in offense by my lack of beating the S&P shows they are too emotionally invested and need external validation to confirm their preexisting convictions. 

The best defense  is a healthy offense.

No offense to any of the attorneys, but I've found that these guys are a dime a dozen.
