They changed ordinances to include reducing occupancy to 8 people, added a noise ordinance which is at speaking level sounds (no more Marco Polo from pesky tourists), changed parking laws which only affect visitors but not residents (no parking in street or over sidewalk), changed offender/predator rules so there is no space in the municipality where one can stay (a park bench is a “park” and they put benches all over the place and offenders cannot be within so many feet of these spaces).  

Reactive Problem-SolvingOperators know problems are inevitable — so they design response systems in advance.Maintenance Matrix: Document common issues (WiFi reset, HVAC troubleshooting, breaker panel locations) with photo guides stored in a digital binder accessible to staff/guests.On-Call Vendors: Build a bench of reliable local contractors (plumber, electrician, cleaner, handyman) with pre-negotiated response times.Tech Monitoring: Use smart sensors for noise, water leaks, and thermostats to prevent issues before they spiral.Communication SOPs: Response time targets (under 5 minutes for urgent issues, under 30 minutes for minor concerns).System: Crisis Playbook Binder — a digital + physical binder with scripts, vendor contacts, and SOPs for every common guest problem.6.

I could rattle off half a dozen posters that I miss seeing around, but I could also rattle off half a dozen "newbies" that are also keeping things interesting and bringing new perspectives. 

As for not needing the $1m, I know, I do these now, and have for years, hence why I can rattle on about them, because I actually do them and am speaking from experience not theory. 

The 1st one was within possible noise concerns with a Navy practice landing field, it didn't know that fact.

You'll get a ton of noise from the outside and there will be ney sayers, just ignore them, its an unbelievable way to start building wealth. 

While noise ordinances theoritically could deal with this if a place is close to the neighbors its probably far better to keep some parameters. 

You ignore the noise and move on and run the company and they feel what they did was in the best interests of the company and owners.Everyone said the same when the original owner sold… Remember it’s the people and community that contribute that make or break your experience.
