I can also tell you I was able to glean some helpful information on the probate process/law simply by calling the County Clerk's office and a local probate attorney and asking very specific questions about the process. 

That being said, I’m following this discussion to glean as much wisdom from the greater BP community as possible.

There is a world of knowledge only gleaned from investing. 

My current work also has me in close contact with a lot of developers and property managers in NYC so I've been able to glean a lot of wisdom that way.
