In some cases, you may also need to pay for an appraisal (aka, a barrier they put in place to keep you paying PMI - after all, can’t they just run some da*m comps to get the value?!?

If you winterize properly there is no risk of future dmages in regards to plumbing and whatnot...Only issue may be ice dams in gutters which could lead to possible roof damge...You should be totally fine though

We are in the down-valley shadow of Vail and Beaver Creek ski resorts so there is international wealth pressures, lack of affordable housing and general scarcity.

I would be looking Richmond annex, carriage hills (SFH neighborhood) parts of Dam road (which El Sobrante also), and streets near San Pablo Ave, areas near Richmond marina (ferry just opened up).

It's a dammed if you do dammed if you don't type of mentality .

Further away Vail, Beaver Creek or Steamboat Springs.
