However a real distinct disadvantage to that is, if you ever sell your company, someone may look at the name and then think you are that brand, and may not pay as much for the company as if it had some random name.The other thing that you can always do as well, is have a partial company name that is easy to convert across multiple sectors.

Here's an example: If you invest in working class small multifamily assets (let's say C+), investing in a market with high rental demand for this segment of properties and very landlord friendly laws will allow you to be successful, even if your property manager isn't a rockstar at marketing units, or selecting perfect tenants, because the product will (to a limited degree) sell itself, and the easy eviction process will make tenant misbehaviors more correctible.

Here are some details that were provided on the proforma - "owner pays gas for unit #4, 5 units have central A/C, and 3 units window A/C belong to tenants.One porch rebuilt, new laundry room door, main entrance door improved, brand new gas line, new fence, entire roof recoated, new drop boxfor rent, some sidewalk segments replaced $2600, 5 toilets replaced, 3 stove and 3 refrigerators replaced, new hot water tank"If you want to be an LP or GP on the deal let me know.

On average a very small fund is around $20m in acquisition power, and most small funds are closer to $50m acquisition power, I know this because I have worked in this segment from the inside on acquisition teams so yes 1st hand experience.
