The more we are exposed to foreign concepts, the more we avoid the hubris issue.

Prop 13 is a very foreign concept to many folks.

A lot of buyers for this stuff are foreign.

There is also foreign money being stashed here but again outside forces like that are not known for their stability. 

It means they know everything, want to do everything, and the concept of money is foreign.

Other talk is foreign to them but everyone thinks they know everything.

After a year of planning started bringing foreign investors into the US RE market.

Not a very welcoming environment around here it seems like....don't worry about all the replies from the Peanut gallery.. just hang in there you will figure out who's who over time.one thing about BP everyone has an opinion.. and on tax matters half the time the CPAs are all arguing amongst there selves.. keep in mind from my cheap seats all the CPA s I have worked with have levels of how aggressive they are comfortable signing off on.I went through this with my Portfolio interest program for foreign investors.. my long time CpA just could not get behind it..

People that lean a certain way politically are more likely to assume "foreign/Chinese = bad" and they will believe this no matter what the evidence suggests. 

now a days I was just at Altanta airport this week I saw a total of ONE pay phone and about the only place I see those now a days is at a port when I am on a cruise ship trip.. or in a internet café were foreigners are calling home.There was no fed ex  had to rely using snail mail... and then they came out with this thing called a fax machine.. but that was OK but the paper was such that the print faded with time.. so you could not really use it for files you would hold a long time.. then there was plain paper fax.. now that was coolthen the scanners came out..
