A good way to do this is with some Keyword Alerts set up for "contractor" or just by subscribing to the Construction forum!

Be sure to set up your keywords so that you are notified when topics or locations of interest to you are discussed.Glad to have more MA people on Bigger Pockets.

Use the keyword search tool at the top right to locate others in your area.

I couldn't handle the cold though so I moved west :) There is quite the crowd on folks from the Twin Cities here, so be sure to set up some Keyword Alerts for "Minnesota" "Minneapolis" and "St Paul" so you'll be notified when local conversations are happening!
