Both of the times, it was a for a tiny commercial building.  

All accomplished in tiny spurts.

I don't want to fly all the way over there and be stuck in some tiny little smelly room  LOL.. 

I bought a tiny old house in MN last fall (I also live in the Bay Area) and I took a red eye out so I could be there for the inspection.

I would think their showings & thus offers to be less as a FSBO.I wouldn't expect they'd get the quantity of offers that Seattle or Everett due to location but certainly priced correctly it will generate offers over asking.

Pulling comps for STRs in the same vicinity has proven somewhat difficult as there are only a handful and they are either lake front or tiny home style vacation rentals.

I know they use is since they contacted me when a machine stopped working (tiny sock stuck in the water pump) but I have never seen the machines in use.  

If you live close and can manage short term rentals yourself you'll have a better shot, but bad reviews on AirBNB, etc... will have an outsize impact on your tenant quality, quantity, and resulting $ so don't skimp. 

Just keep in mind you are looking for quality and not quantity. 

This is a proven experience that really helped me develop the audience's quality and quantity.
