I would say look to Minnesota, maybe taking on one or more family members as on the ground partners.Of course that condo selling real estate agent is going to try to sell you something, and it may be a high pressure sell at that.

I would put pressure on the builder to get it done by the first but have a back up plan for storing your stuff as wellAs far as your deposit, just because a move in checklist does not exist does not mean you automatically receive 100% of your deposit back.
