Could it be that they are claiming it is difficult because they don't want to complete a background check?

I have found pretty good leads here but you are right it is tedious because you need to double check the registry with the decedents name.

The last time I checked, the rates for 10% disabled were $5,000 and it goes up with the more disability you have.  

I will also check with the code enforcement in my local area to see any engineers listing and check prices.
