Originally bought a multi just to have low housing and workspace costs, 2nd property actually didn't cashflow for a long time, but was in an area due for a major gentrification bump.

After this one, we will bump up our landlord coverage in the policies :)

Many times this type of transaction doesn't trigger a notification to the local taxing authority so they wouldn't have a reason to bump up the tax basis.
