LLC question

I am forming an LLC in TX. I am filing myself, w/o using a srv. or atty. I want to use a mailbox srv. for my 'business address'; but cannot use it for the registered agent section on the paperwork. Should I use it as the members (my husband and I) address? Does it matter? I would obviously use it on my EIN form. I was just thinking it would be best for all the mail that would come along with forming to go to the mailbox service and keep my personal one private. But using my home address as the registered agent address....it's still public anyway. Does that matter?

Hey Will,

I need to set up an llc or lp because I am taking on cash partners. Can you suggest an attorney?

For CA?
I could but depends on exacty what you need so I know who to reccomend. Would you need an operating agreement? Would it be basic or complex?

Within the next week 2 weeks I need to set up a LLC for my flips. My flip business is going to exceed my other income for the first time and I need a tax shelter.

I would also like to set up a LLC for the sake of quazi wholesaling. It is very difficult in this market to get clients to the property and write an offer within the 72 hours or less. I could lock up a lot more deals in my LLC and transfer them internally to the client without blowing the deal with the asset manager. They really dont like when you substitute names.

or something like that.

Jennifer,

IF your llc is in the state you live in then you would NOT want to use a registered agent, you would be that person. If your llc is in another state then you would use a registered agent. You dont want to spend money you dont need to.
