Real Estate Investor - Local Community College Class?

Hello!  I've just started up on Bigger Pockets a few days ago and already have a plethora of information and lists of items to research!  What a wealth of resource everyone has been so far!  As part of my process, I decided to look into my local community college to see if they offer any classes ... and there is a Real Estate Investors class online ... my question - has anyone had positive experience with a local class when starting up?  Or will I be better off saving my money and absorbing all of the info from Bigger Pockets and independent research?  I wonder if, at the very least, it would help me with networking and learning the workings of my area ... which otherwise might be more difficult for me to accomplish and understand on my own?  I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Skip the college class. It will teach you the technical book knowledge but none of the practical side of real estate. If you insist on taking classes, got for your real estate agent license.

But, first, I would recommend you figure out what you want to do in real estate and then use BP forum to read about how to go about doing it. From there, we are here to help you and advise you along the way.
