@Charles Carroll while I’m still trying to determine the specific market to invest in, I’m looking to invest in a market that is in either Connecticut, New Jersey, or New York that is 2-3 hours driving distance from Suffolk County. As I get a few rentals under my belt I’d like to further explore long distance real estate investing in markets in the south

I just posted a zoom meet up for Albany area investors (Troy, Schenectady and surrounding areas-- this is for you, too!). 

I love the in-person meet ups, but given the current covid numbers this felt like a safer bet for a post-holiday gathering. I'm not a huge fan of virtual gatherings, in general, but I've really enjoyed the handful of zoom meet ups we have done. There is an agenda posted (link to follow)-- feel free to check it out and join! 

The group largely consists of MF investors, but we also have some commercial folks and rehabbers in the group.
