Newbie from Miami, Florida
Hello to everyone. My name is Jose Diaz from Miami, FL. I am currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. My wife and I are looking into using real estate investing to provide us with the opportunities life has.
At the moment, I am educating myself on wholesaling, fix/flip and financing options. It would be great to meet a seasoned investor in these areas, as we are very fresh to real estate investing. Some genuine help would be greatly appreciated.
I signed up at bigger pockets because it provides legitament, no non-sense help/guidance that we need to grow our idea of expanding our means.
Pleasure to meet all of you!

@Jose Diaz welcome to the site.
Welcome @Jose Diaz , this is a great place to get your questions answered. A good place to start is w/ the Ultimate Beginner's Guide. If you haven't done so yet, I would also recommend listening to all of the podcasts. There is tons of information there.
Thanks to you both.
Michael- I started reading beginners guide last night. Great information so far.

Welcome to the BP community @Jose Diaz Miami is a great but very competitive market for RE investing but a lot of money can be made if investing in the right areas.
Good Luck!
@Mitchell L. Thanks for the welcome
Its very competitive. Thats why I need to learn as much as I can to get ahead. Obviously, I will also take a look at other neighboring areas.

Welcome to BP @Jose Diaz! Good luck on your REI journey
Welcome @Jose Diaz! I remember when I first found this sight I was overwhelmed too! My best advice is to listen to the podcasts. They go over the same ideas a lot but with a unique perspective for each person. I literally started from the beginning and have been listening to them on my commute to and from work. I've gotten so many great ideas and a more thorough understanding of the concepts just by listening. You are in a great place! There are so many helpful people on this site! Good luck!
@Jose Diaz Welcome and good luck.
My best recommendation for a new person (like myself) is to check out the meet ups and get to know some RE investors in person.
@Jose Diaz Great to hear that you are entering the real estate industry. In my opinion the very first thing you must do is decide on your goal.
Are you looking for passive income or capital gains?
By knowing that answer it allows you to then select the area, and investment strategy.
There are many Techniques, methods, etc, etc.. but don't get lost in the library either or start thinking you don't know enough to start.
The amount of information revolving the real estate world is overwhelming but only focus on what you need and what works for your own personal goals.
best of luck on your investing adventures !
