Welcome Clayton! The Millionaire Real Estate Investor is IMO the best book to start with. If you're interested in flipping, then Flip and The Book on Flipping Houses are also great. As far as buy and hold, I would recommend Jeffrey Taylor's The Landlord's Survival Guide as property management is critical to buy and hold.

Hey Clayton,

I'm currently reading "Real Estate Advantages, Tax and Legal Secrets of Successful Real Estate Investors."

I'm about 1/4 the way through and I feel like I'm being exposed to all kinds of really good Ideas. We bought it at 1/2 price books for pretty cheap.

I also read "Landlording on Auto Pilot".  It's a little dated but still really good book on creating systems. He also talks about the importance of getting a good CPA that is familiar w/ Investing.

Hope that helps!

Welcome to BP this is an amazing site for starting out. Check out the Podcasts they are full of amazing info. Also as you are obtaining all this new info, try to implement right away. The best learning happens in the field (just be cautious).

Good luck

Thanks for all of the info guys. I've been doing the Podcasts for a month now and have begun to read " What every real estate investor needs to know about cash flow". Going to start looking at neighborhoods in my area this weekend.
