Central Florida Newbie V2.0

Hi Bigger Pockets! I got my feet wet on the forums here a few years back, but realized I had some big hurdles to overcome (i.e. get my financial house in order) before I could "get started". Now, I'm ready to dive in. 

My focus is on BRRRR/Buy & Hold in the outskirts of the Orlando Metro Area - specifically Clermont, Winter Garden, Apopka, Tavares, Eustis, and Leesburg. I have professional experience in construction and a ton of residential renovation contacts in the area, so I believe I have a leg-up on the rehab side.

I'm looking to connect with investors, investor-friendly realtors, lenders, and wholesalers in the area. I have yet to buy my first investment property, but plan to buy within the next 6 months.

I’ll have to put a tentative for that date as I’m not usually up there on weekends. I will be in Apopka next week July 18th and 19th.

 Hi Lane, congratulations on getting everything in order and getting ready to dive into real estate. I am really excited about continued growth in Florida as a whole. I am in south Florida and do most of my work in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County and the macroeconomics and job growth accompanied with massive in migration from millennial's is continuing to excite me. I find the central Florida market very intriguing as well. Always here if you have questions.

@Jay Patel @Brandon Reed @Lane Register anyone still up for meeting up this Saturday?  There's another investor, Mike, that I know from BP who's in Mt. Dora, but it won't let me tag him here for some reason.    If we're on to meet, I'll check with him to see if he can make it too.  If everyone's got plans or other obligations, we can pick another date in the future to try for.  I'd love to get to meet with everyone and learn from everyone's collective experience.  I'm available if others are, but I'm also flexible and can shoot for another time.  Whatever works!

Just kidding, didn't hear back by the night before so we'll shoot for another day soon.  Definitely looking forward to somewhat of a Lake County mastermind breakfast/lunch at some point whenever schedules work out.  Anyone feel free to throw out other dates that may work.

Hey guys did you all end up meeting up and if so how did it go? 

My wife and i live on the east side of Orlando. She is an agent who has sold a couple rentals to investors and also does accounting for a property management company. I commute to work down in Polk County now and i used to live and work in Tavares. We are looking to continue networking with others in the area.  Best of luck to you all.
