Tuesday Tip: Sometimes results are delayed

One of my main hobbies is weight lifting, and if you've participated in this activity recently or share my enthusiasm you might be familiar with the Rogue Echo Bike. (If not, it is worth a google!)

I like to do 20 second sprints on mine. And I have noticed that in the first 5-6 seconds my calorie counter will simply have a flat "0" on it. After doing this a few times, I know I can get to 15-17 calories consistently. This means that all of my results are showing after those first 5-6 seconds.

I think this is a good analogy for business and investing. Sometimes you are doing the right things but you don't have much, or anything, to show for it. Keep that effort up! Sometimes the results are delayed!

Quote from @Matthew Cervoni:

I started out with no goals. I understood the value of real estate but did not understand how quickly I could scale. I managed properties for investors with 20, 40 or even 60 rentals and never thought it was possible that I could get there.

After acquiring my first few rentals,. I realized I was capable of much more than I thought. I pushed aside my limiting self beliefs and really started to think about what I was trying to achieve. At first I set a goal of financial Independence within 5 years. I achieved that fairly quickly, so I now have a goal of $300,000 annual income before I am 60. I am about 2/3 there and still have 8 years to go!
