@Ronda R.  What @Jen R. says is correct. I have attended this the last 2 years.  I've come away both times with what I consider to be good stuff.  I am also a beginner. Lol I'm not going this year.  I have another commitment that conflicts. It is definitely well attended usually, so you might have some networking opportunities that you don't get at meetings or breakfasts.

Vena is the real deal. She has courses for sale, but does not promote them during this particular event. She gives really valuable info and the most she tries to sell is a membership to the local REIA and a $197 ticket to the OREIA convention. I've gone the past 2 years and come away with some real good stuff.

I completely agree with @Zach Zimmer.  The language used looks to me that they are stressing the As Is sale and they don't provide any disclosures.   You are completely responsible to do your own due diligence, inspections (making sure there is no lead-based paint and/or asbestos), and to make sure it is registered with the county if you intend to rent it instead of owner-occupy.

Monthly meetings are the 2nd Wed. of every month.  Your first time visit is free.

Hi @Enrico Mariani,  You can come to the SCREIA meeting each month.  It is the last Tuesday every month.  It is usually held at the Sippo Lake library, but this month on the 29th it is a holiday dinner at Hartville Kitchen.  Their website is www.investinstark.com . There is also a breakfast meeting every Wed. morning at the Athens Restaurant on Harrison Ave. in Canton at 8:30am.  That one is usually well attended and you will connect with the most knowledgeable investors.  Welcome!
