Something I would like to know! On Forum topics, there are a lot of talk of what markets are best to invest in. I live in the Upstate of South Carolina and I am curious as to why a good bit of investors frequently invest all around South Carolina with other states such as Florida and North Carolina. There are so many big manufacturing businesses here such as BMW, Draixelmaier, etc. Is there something missing from the South Carolina market that I am not seeing or knowing? Is South Carolina hard to deal with. I am a new property manager and I would like a new career with a company that I can grow with.

Ok Nicholas thanks for that info! I did use my county website for my postcard campaign for leads for owners for delinquent taxes. Another question since you are a wholesaler, do you use property managers when and/or your distressed properties will not sell quickly for any given reason? Will you rent the properties? Just wondering if my marketing strategies to wholesalers for that type of scenerio is a waste of my time?

Hi Dominique Welcome to BP!
I'm a newbie here on BP as well. I am a Property Manager in Moore/Duncan area. Like you, I am eventually diving into investing within the next year or two. I am learning alot here on BP. I just joined a group on MeetUp.com for investors in the area of the Upstate.

Hi Nicholas,
I am a Property manager and would like to send out yellow letters as well soon. I am in the same boat as you as a new PM with my budget. As my first campaign, I dived into postcard mailing service with VistaPrint. Per post card was 34 cents for 100 mailings and total cost was $53. I want to target absentee owners, investors, or wholesalers wanting to get rental income for their properties. Do you pay to get that type of list or what do you find the best way to capture these leads?

Hi Brenda! Welcome to BP! I am a new property manager and would like the experience you have in PM for five years or so. I then, want to invest in properties of my own. What advice can you give me as being a new PM? Getting a job as a Assistant PM? Had interviews but they want an experienced PM. How did you acquire your first position?
Right now, I am a Independent Property Manager working part time on commissions but I wanted a full time job in learning the day-to-day aspects of property management. This is a career change to help me me one day to invest.
