@Anthony Mikolich You will landlord's dwelling insurance. The rates are very different from Homeowners rates. In some markets, it may be higher than others, but double a homeowners rate seems excessive.

@Mark Paup Its a matter of risk tolerance. However, your generally better off at replacement cost, without co-insurance if at all possible.

@Account Closed if the animal you have is not listed on the "vicious" list as you discribe, and the animal causes a liability, you may still not be covered. Many policies will have an "animal liability exclusion." read your policy it will detail if there is an exclusion and if there is, it will detail the extent of it.

@Kiran Alisam You will need landlord dwelling coverage on the properties if they are 1-4 Units otherwise you will need a policy for apartments 5+ Units or a Lessors Risk Policy if they are commercial.

There are a variety of carriers that will do this sort of risk however there are several options. It is possible to have all the properties scheduled onto a master portfolio policy. You could also have individual policies for each property.

There are really several options, its just a matter of which is more convenient and cost effective.

I just sent you a PM, and my contact info is below. Feel free to reach out with any questions.

@Andrew S. By requiring that the tenant list the landlord, the landlord will be notified in the event of the policy being canceled or non-renewed.
