I am a software developer too! I have enjoyed my career but like you I am consumed with REI as a mechanism for retirement income!!

I would suggest if you can try to partner with others in US. Or if you can do some private lending if you comfortable do that.

My question is why do you want to continue leaving at home? Get out there and make your own decision and mistakes.if you are not careful you will be making this same post in 10 years!!

Not trying to be mean, just hard to believe someone does not want to be making their own life decisions and not counting on Mommy And Daddy to support them!

Not that would recommend for anyone, before I was 21, I had my 3 kids and my own home. I worked my way through college, switch my career, had a bankruptcy, dug out of a hole started over all by be own my own. Try it, you will learn more this way!!
