Hey Brett...I live on the other side of the state of Florida and always willing to help in anyway I can. Hoping to acquire some properties on the west coast in Lee County, Hillsborough and Pinellas....maybe we can work some deals. Good luck!

Luckily, I came to my senses before plunking down $10K to $20K for more training. The good news is that it ignited my desire to learn more and to actually take steps to develop a plan and DO something. I'm leaning toward flipping, fix-and-flip, and wholesaling. But I'm becoming more intrigued with rentals, both single-family and multiple units. I currently own a tree service but we're heading into slow season so I'll have more time to devote to real estate.

I know exactly how you feel about the "treadmill"! Remember, it is a marathon and not a race. It is good you already have a close mentor--you are a step ahead of the pack. Keep educating yourself with your niche. I live in PSL and hope to stay connected with you...you never know what will transpire down the road. Good luck!

Welcome Fednel to BP and REI! I am in PSL but lived in FTL in late 1990s. Always looking for property there. Let's stay connected while you educate yourself on wholesaling and finding your niche. Tons of stuff on the internet and here at BP to get started. I just downloaded the article on
The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Real Estate Wholesaling--good place to get started. Not sure where to find it here but it is on this site.

How much equity is already in the house? Are you living in it or are you planning on renting it out? What is the house worth??

Welcome Chris! I am in Saint Lucie County but have bought property in Lee County. I am in a similar situation where I am looking to possibly wholesale some deals and then make some $$ and then buy and hold. Maybe we can work together if I purchase more property in that area. Let's keep in touch!

Who is to say you can't occupy the home, stay in it for a short period of time to fix it up and get it looking great, and then turn around and sell it. Is that allowable?
