Let me introduce myself my name is Lawrence L. From NYC i live in The Great Borough Of The BRONX.I have been working in the transportation industry for the last 36 years and looking to retire in the next 5,but i still want to continue to  invest in real estate when I retire.

I own a 2 family and a 1 family house which I am thinking about renting out. I got my exposure to real estate from my father God Bless him. I had a 5 family but lost it through relying on myself and not seeking the help or advice from others. I've made mistakes and have definitely learned from them.Last year in June I dusted myself off and am ready to move on hence the subject line: Old Member starting NEW!!!!!

My stratagy is buy and hold, the goal is to have 100 doors in 5 years by using BIGGER POCKETS. I have been a member since 2008 but really did not use BIGGER POCKETS to its full potential... but last year I started to read some of the books from the list that was given on BP, reading posts, and subscribing to alert which put a fire under me.  Looking to help and for help. This is a NEW YEAR.

Have a construction loan, the construction period ran out, I asked if I can modify the loan they said no,I have 112,600 in escrow which the bank says is mine but they will not give me any of that money. They say they can put that money toward the principle, but I can't use the money. My interest rate is 10.99% My question is what can I do or what should I do? The bank is eastern savings bank in Maryland.
