It depends on the level of renovations as well. If it is more of unit turns and handy man work, it might be worth asking your property manager to bid it out with their turn crews.@Vishal M.

If you look at the surround areas of a metro there are usually still inventory with less competition. It will still take work since off market is usually better than listed but might be a good starting point.

If the lines are already et/ duct work is done is typically costs about 3k on the affordable end for labor and install. Material prices have gone up so some may charge 4-5k as well. @Remington Lyman @Julie Philpott

Its always easier to get started locally so as some of the others said OO a property is a pretty solid way of getting a feel for investing/ started in general. If you add value or buy at a decent price then you can get a heloc down the road as well @Arianna Farinas

If you can start with house hacking locally, that's usually the easiest way of getting started. You would need a W2 to get started with that or a co-signer on a single family home. In any case, you can always find a mentor by providing value to someone in order to speed up the learning curve. @Eli Joffe

1. If you have a turnkey property that is priced accordingly to the market, it should get rented out within a month
2. They have continued to go up overall
3. Home prices are going up since it is cut off by the highway on the south end and Merion/Hungarian village continue to get better on the North end.
4. Its going to be more petty crime in that area

There are a good amount of single family/ residential homes in that area. It's a good area overall. There isn't a ton of multifamily in that pocket if that's what you're going for but surrounding areas has more @Carlos Quiros
