Hello BPers,

I wanted to see if anyone had built a map of Knoxville, TN indicating which areas would be classified as what, based on the A,B,C, D area scale. I have seen some good maps made by people on here for Birmingham, AL, but I'd be interested in seeing Knoxville and/or Chattanooga as well.

@Abdullah Dimion there is some opportunity in Huntsville to do what you’re saying. I would never touch Chicago personally, but I tend to avoid blue states when buying investments. Huntsville is a much smaller and easier market to learn, but with that said you also have lower inventory. I invest in Huntsville but not in Chicago so I’m going to be a little biased haha

@Latavia Banks sounds like you’d want to bring on a joint venture partner who also brings some of the funds for down payment

@Robert Duffer I invest in both Huntsville and Birmingham and it’s gone well. You have to really know your areas in Birmingham.

@Jason Kosowan I invest in Huntsville and Birmingham. Mostly SFRs in Huntsville but multis in Birmingham. What are you trying to learn?

@Riley Kurtts I buy multis too but it has to be the right deal. As far as other commercial property I don’t venture that way much.
