I am seeking an investor friendly Realtor in the Pittsburgh area, able to assist a friend of mine with his property search.

I am licensed in Virginia and DC, and need someone with market knowledge in the Pittsburgh area.

BP,

I am looking for multi-family properties in Indiana, PA and seek a real estate agent to get involved with my search. Both my partner and I attended IUP, and are familiar with the area. We live and work in the DC metro area now.

I am a licensed Realtor in Virginia and D.C. and will help with the contract, etc. Just need someone that knows the ins and outs of the local market, and has some investing experience. Feel free to message me, or give me a call/email.

Regards,

@John Thompson In addition to James' comments, I would say a plus is having legal backing to wholesale properties.  Just be sure to understand what is required of a licensed individual.

@Danny Clarkbeleive they have a group on meetup.com

@John Thompson I do not have experience using a paid training program. I have found so much useful info here on BP, and theough REI meetup.

With that being said, I decided to get my RE license, which was not free but I learned the most from. I highly recommend looking into the licensing, and maybe talking to some brokers as well.

Best of luck to you

@William Kenley Welcome to BP. Have you checked out any local meetups? There are a ton in the DMV, all over.

Also, I definatley recommend uploading a photo when you have a minute, it helps people think you arent a robot, hehe.

Hey @Michael Lehman welcome to BP! My sister just started at OSU, I'm looking forward to some ball games.

I think you are implementing a wise approach. The rental market in NoVa is manageable but tough. Richmond can be a great rental market, and Winchester, VA has potential as well.

Have you checked out any REI meetuos in the area?

@Orlando Andujar welcome to BP.

There are a lot of investors in the DMV. Checkout BP and meetup.com for some local meetups, where you can network with other wholesalers.

I definitely recommend adding a profile photo. It will help people realize tou aren't a robot.

Hey @Trey Perrone. It's wise to separate the funds. My brokerage does the same thing with earnest money deposits. Almost impossible to fully track inflows and outflows any other way.

There are also some great free online that help track expenses too, and link directly to bank and credit card accounts. Expensify.com, waveapps.com are two of them.

Last resort, (potentially first resort depending on the town) rent it out on AirBnb!

@Brian Chadwick welcome to BP! I love the idea of an REI study group, sounds great.

For groups, I like Capital REI, there is no upselling, and it's filled with vast experience levels.I have not tired either of these but a lot of people recommend the CAZA, and Traction REI groups. Research them all a bit, and you will find what you are looking for (there are several others on meetup.com).

See you around the site.

P.S. I would love to come to a study group session some time if you allow outsiders to attend, haha.
