Newbie question here - I'm confused by the property tax input field in the rental property calculator. And the help text says it can be looked up the county assessor's office. If I look that up, it'll be the tax value for the current owner and the previous purchase price. Wouldn't property tax in the calculator just the X% of my purchase price?

Thanks!

Hi Everyone!

My name is Chatree, I work in tech in the Bay Area, I'm looking to buy my first investment property this year. While I'm considering the Bay Area (within 1-2 hr driving distance), the numbers I ran hardly work out so I'm open to investing remotely as well (currently looking into Dallas/Plano or Austin). Planning to get my feet wet soon and steadily build my portfolio from there.

Excited to be a part of the community and look forward to connecting!

Chatree
