1.3% bank savings account Also, private lending short term (12 months) at ~10%, use online platform like PeerStreet so it’s very passive. Since the debt is backed by real estate, I feel the risk is lower than individual stocks.

Too many middleman in the purchase process and too much fees. The fact that buyer’s ability to get financing plays a huge part in the purchase process. I wish the typical home buying process would be much more transparent, eBay-style bid. Not that crypto can solve all that but here you go, for brainstorming.

In the Bay Area, people commute 2+ hour one way easily if work and home are in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. And people are getting conventional loan fine here. So I'd find different lender who can help you with your situation.

Just subscribed and listened. Great content, love it. Thanks so much for doing this.

One feedback - with great content like this I hope the audio quality gets better.. perhaps a better mic and audio processing afterwards. Not sure how to explain it, the audio signal is too hot, could be soften so it's easier to listen. Again, I LOVE the podcast and will keep listening, hope you're ok with the feedback.

I use Notability to hand sign any PDFs on my phone or iPad. Can set the color to blue so it looks just like using pen.

Hi @Casey R. I'm thinking renting out most of the time but eventually have an option for me to go live there for part of the year. So I'm looking for a good performing VR areas but also good local community aspect (but that's not as important for now). I'll research VHR that you mentioned. Thanks for all your pointers.

@Jon Crosby would love to learn more about your take on different areas around Tahoe. Will reach out, thanks.

Hi all - I'm looking into purchasing a vacation rental in Lake Tahoe, probably on the NV side, such as Incline Village. I'd love to hear feedback and suggestions on what will make a good VR in that area, or are there areas I should look into.

Also, I'd love to connect with agents, investors, lenders that are active in Tahoe or perhaps Reno that could help me build a team over there including contractors, cleaners, etc. I'm 4 hours away in SF Bay Area. Thanks!

Newbie here.. we got a HELOC last year for our house and haven’t used it yet. Now, we want to tap into that money for investments and consider if we can increase that line of credit since the home value gone up. Do we have to go through the process again? Another choice is to do cash out refi. But does the HELOC complicate the refinance?

It’s a long shot but I will ask my friends in the area. Let me confirm, this is for 2 adults 2 kids and 2 dogs right? Some friends in SF is considering AirBnB open houses. We already donated money but could you tell us what people in Napa/Sonoma need the most right now? Will donate clothes and kids items and hope they’ll get there soon enough.
