Inkster is a small affordable residential community surrounded by opportunity. Sitting just west of Detroit and only a few miles from the International Airport. With the bustling cities of Dearborne Heights, Taylor, Westland and Romulas surrounding it.

Comprised of mostly 2 and 3 bedroom homes Inkster is undergoing a transformation of youth. Young families are finding affordability with ease of access to downtown Detroit, Ford Manufacturing Facility and Detroit Wayne Metro Airport with a quiet suburban lifestyle. In 2016 the planning phase to connect the University of Michigan to Wayne County Airport and Downtown Detroit began. This project will include a light rail and main station in Inkster City drawing more families and development to the city. Construction is set to begin in summer 2018 bringing jobs and opportunity to Inkster. This is sure to cause property values to increase in the near future.

I've done exactly what you're talking about many times and in your area.

Title companies don't like doing this because they don't make as much money.

Like selling a 6 pack instead of individually.

Own in Inkster, it's been through the ringer and now it's on the rise!

With a New Proactive Mayor in Place, a strong police force back in control of the city, Homeowners are looking to Inkster as an affordable place to live and renters recognize it as an affordable area to rent in comparison to the surrounding areas. It's a small 4 or 5 square mile city that is surrounded by opportunity, Dearborne Heights, Westland, Taylor, Romulus (location of the international airport) and Garden City are all doing well. Inkster is close enough to the City of Detroit for a quick to commute for work. Inkster is looking at another year of double digit returns. Excellent Property! What's better a 1200 sq ft. home renting for $800 or a 630 sq ft. home renting for $800?

Think about the tenant turnover costs... 630 square feet means half the flooring and paint costs.

Hi Christine

Yes it did and still does. When I first started traveling to Detroit to buy houses 4 years ago I was shocked to see homes with such character so run down. Over the last couple years Detroit has been going through a major transformation and in just that short time I've actually seen areas turn around. I think the city had demolished a total of 11,000 dilapidated houses as of the end of 2017, this has been extremely helpful in cleaning up Detroit.
