@Robert Johnson

Congrats in your properties! I just bought a house in Port Isabel as well that I plan to use as a STR. Would love to connect at some point soon while I'm down there.

I'll be listing my STR in about a month, and I'm curious at what point should I start setting up the back-end systems that will help me manage calendars, pricing, auto emails, etc etc.

I'm thinking of using YourPorter as a management software and Price Labs as a dynamic pricing tool. Do you recommend starting the process of setting these up now or later?

Thanks!

I've seen an RV by the beach booked solid at over $150 a night. It was parked at a local RV park walking distance to the beach and there were hardly ever any vacancies. I think it's a great model and could cash flow like crazy.

Galveston, Corpus Christi, South Padre, Port Aransas are all the most popular beach destinations. A nice 4-5 br would probably be around 300-600k+ depending on the location and condition of the property. Don't sweat flood insurance. It can vary depending on what flood plain you're in. Just be sure you ask for an elevation certificate for your insurance agent during your option period.

South side is a good area but I'm not real sure of the rents with apartments. Depends in property condition etc.

Shoot me a PM with the info. I may be interested in investing as well.

Do you have to pay for these ads or are you saying to just get it listed?

 Vrbo has 2 options. I prefer to pay for the $499 subscription as it saves you money over the pay as you go rate.

Airbnb costs nothing to set up and they just charge a fee as you get bookings.

Thanks! I didn't realize there was a fee on VRBO.

I'll DM you as well since I'll be needing some ideas soon.

@Nancy Bachety

Will yourporter sync your personal website bookings with your Airbnb/VRBO bookings?
