@Arianne L.My work schedule is so busy right now (I Know, been my excuse for a while) but once things can slow down I'd like to meet up here.  I am thinking October timeframe.

I just recently went through this.  I know the post is a year old, but maybe it will help someone.

Many factors led me to want to buy.  

Long story short, the landlord wouldn't sell it at the price that made sense for the numbers. Instead I found a pretty good deal with a fellow BP member who is a real estate agent on the side, and the house I was renting is still sitting empty.  The landlord actually wanted to bump rent up by another $200 for the next tenant.

Glad we took the steps to find a different property, the landlord we were with was unreasonable and did not have a realistic idea of what the property was worth.
