Hi all. I am looking into purchasing small multi family properties in Bridgeport, CT for long term buy and holds. I lived in CT for a number of years so am a bit familiar with the area but not enough to know the subtle differences in each area of Bridgeport. I am now on Long Island so only a ferry ride away but would love any recommendations for wholesalers, investor friendly agents, contractors, management and/or any great boots on the ground people. I'd greatly appreciate it if anyone have any recommendations or know certain areas I should look in and/or avoid?

@Matt Crawford. Wow what a terrific job! I love your approach of jumping in and learning as you go. I did the same and while I know it doesn't work for everyone, it definitely was the way to go for me. I'm sure you will have continued success - congrats!

Hi JAy. I used to live at 522 Shore rd back in the day. Miss that boardwalk and the view something fierce! In that price range for a 1 bedroom, I'd do a quality hardwood floor if you are on a higher floor but likely you need to check with condo management to see if that is allowed. Best of luck!

Hi Jay. I use vinyl plank flooring in all my flips now. A good quality one such as Armstrong life lock looks very much like wood and comes in different plank sizes to make it look more realistic. You can flood it, etc and it's fairly non destructible. I find buyers like it too. I used to live in Long Beach and still look to invest there so let me know the details on where your condo is and what you are looking for in price?

Hi @Samir Goel. I'm happy with them but you are completely independent so if you know the forms to use to put in an offer, create a listing, etc, then it's great. Had I not worked for a traditional broker first, I'd be lost! So if you have some basic knowledge, I'd definitely recommend but if not, then Id say it's best if you go elsewhere initially where you can get some agent training. Good luck!

I'm with an online broker now just so I can access MLS so I pay monthly fees but keep 100 percent of commission.
