I don't pay much attention (my wife sez). I didn't answer your last question. BP is mentioned frequently at our meetings. We get our share of newbs looking for education. BP is the first sight we tell them about.

I am the vice president of CARRIEA here in Little Rock. We are a small club that is struggeling. We meet every other month. I don't know what to do to secure more interest for the club. The major benefits we have currently is a email system to bounce ideas or info off of each other. This is an aide to finding contractors or other services.
Unfortunately, support is lacking. We have had the same president for a few years who stepped up after one of the founding members who was serving backed out. About the only time we have new interest, is when a seminar comes through Little Rock. Then we are swamped with "wholesalers".
I would love to generate some interest; I have posted my most recent success on the email and have had open houses at a rehab project. Really looking forward to more response to this thread to gain new ideas.

I use a guy locally that has bought into a franchise deal with Gripit. They resurface tubs, formica, tile ETC. Cheaper than replacing and don't look too bad. Just make sure your price point will support a surface that looks "less than new". And make sure your tile is in good shape before hand.

It never hurts to practice what Jesus taught. Don't forget to drive the "demons" out!!
My gripe is we are already paying for the uninsured through higher rates. Lets weed out the real dead beats and drug test them when they rush to the ER, or to get their unemployment check, ETC.
I am all for helping the mother that has been abandoned by a dead beat with kids; so long as I don't have to support her cigarettes, booze, or other sins against humanity. I have a relationship that is absolutely a waste of humanity because she will not stay off of the meth. She knows how to get every government give away there is. She was fired (let go) from her last job and has unemployment coming in now. She also gets the unearned income credit every spring tax time. Guess who is raising her kids now? The wife and I get no compensation (not looking for any) while she is still in the system getting assistance to subsidize her meth business.
Why don't we just police what we already have instead of puting big brother in charge of every detail of our life. I have already had a taste of that trying to deal with my grandkid's mother and father. They were more concerned with the mother's rights than the kids; until I spent $$$$ to gain custody. Now they want to visit my house to insure I am doing the right thing by the kids!!!
Sorry; I got to ranting about something that may not pertain exactly to the discussion Bill Gulley started. I was just trying to emphasize what it is like dealing with the government yahoos.

Hang around my mother a while. She can always name the worst case scenario........
Me "I feel a little ill today"
Mom "I hope your gall bladder is not failing"
Me "??"
Been that way all my life. But, I didn't put an eye out or get my hand cut off. And, I don't know where my "permanant" record is to see what was put on it 45 years ago.

I checked EBAY first thing; it is not listed. I think he could sell it anywhere he was at for the advertised price. I think I will pass. Besides, most of my cash is tied up waiting for my $millions$ to come to the USA along with the ousted prince in Nigeria. He is about 6 months over due.

Saw this great deal on CraigsList for a used Pickup that was too good from the start. Does anyone know of the military being used in scams such as this email reply below? It was advertised in my state; not Nevada.
Thanks

I am in a currently stationed at Nevada Army National Guard. We are getting ready for Afghanistan. We are in the final stage of our training and we are not allowed to use the phone during this period. This is supposed to keep us focused on our trainings. I am only allowed to check my email few times a day. I hope you can understand that we will have to stick to email for now. The vehicle is here with me at the base but I’ve already made all the arrangements with DAS to pick it up from the base. DAS will also handle the title transfer for an extra $75.00. Being in the army has some advantages and one of them is the fact that I can ship it very cheap. I will pay for the shipping charges, as I’ve said in my first email. I think I can have it there in 3-5 business days.
I am a member of the eBay buyer protection program and using this service you will give a 5 days testing period after delivery. During that 5 days testing period I will not be getting any money. I need to know if you are interested in buying it so I can ask eBay to send you the details on how this works. I have to fill out a form on eBay and I need the name that will go on the title and an address where you want the car delivered. Once I do it, eBay will email you all the details on this transaction and we can get the ball rolling.
