@Cheryl Schlehuber assuming the original log cabin is a personal use property? Do you have experience renting remote vacation properties, and if so what is your experience and what are the key elements in your mind in making a great one.

Was Allstate the only insurance company that you checked with?

All insurance carriers/providers have different requirements for vacant/unoccupied houses. Always shop around with the facts of what you plan on doing up front to the agent. This will hopefully allow him to best represent you and get the best product for your situation possible. Let’s us know if you have additional questions as we are always here to help!

@Joe Splitrock at the end of the day it is all about being able to pay your bills. You could have 10% or 90% equity in a deal, but if you can't pay the creditors at the end of the day things are going to get ugly. This is why you should always have cash reserves or line of credit to cover shortfall issues. It seems like in there show they talked a lot about knowing your numbers? Doing the prep work and analysis correctly and not hoping and praying will allow you for the worst case scenario so that you can cover your butt. All-in-All I felt that @Brandon Turner and @David Greene nocked the show as most 'out of the park!'

@Chai Jonn There is a bunch of GR builders, flippers, whole sellers on here. Here is a few @Charles Kao, @Tim Johnson, @Brandon Krieg. This list should get you some traction and potential deal flow. Please let anyone know if there is anything else you need help with.

Thank you,

@Matt Eklund the question is how involved would you like to be, and how adamant are you about systems. The systems part is a must because if you don’t have rock solid systems it will turn into a mad house fast! I have a good amount of experience managing properties in good and bad areas, and in the end it’s about rules and systems.
