Thank you for your recommendation. I am going to take your approach by asking what the seller wants to accomplish. Do you know if there is a contract for Subject To transaction? If so, would you mind sharing?

I am going to verify all of the number with the seller to see where we are standing and make some decision. However, the foreclosure period is coming up (Oct. 1st), seems like the seller does not have much time.

Hey guys,

I went door knocking this past weekend on a preforeclosure list. I got a call this morning from a seller. I am so pumped, yet nervous. I do want to discuss the taking over the payment option to obtain the property. Running through a quick search, I found out that this is called a "Subject To" transaction. Does anyone mind sharing the tips when doing this kind of transaction and if where can I get the contract for a subject to transaction? This could be my very first deal. I am looking forward for all inputs.

Thanks in advanced

 Hey I dont organize meet up but I am willing to meet up anyone here that is interested to discuss and share the goal and push each other. The main purpose for this thread is to find someone of the same interest, make friend and push each other to achieve the goal.

What are your opinions about buying rental property in a flooding zone? I rented in one area and it survived through Harvey - the street was flooded but the water never made it to the garage. However, the area is in a flooding zone according to harris county flood map. The flood insurance is required in order to finance the house via a bank. For buy and hold investor, do you guys invest in these property since the flood insurance is pretty high.

Thanks all

@Joseph Brasile

I'm looking for a single family for now. I wanna get my feet wet before doing anything else.

I am not in Katy but I would love to go to this meetup to start networking. Please keep this thread updated if you dont mind another person joining. Thanks in advance

I am also new to flipping but have experience in remodels and some new construction. Let's see how we can help each other.

 Thats awesome, I may need your help on getting estimates on rehabbing a home. Are you in Houston area? If so lets grab a cup of coffee over the weekend to talk about it.
