Hi Ken, welcome to BP!

I would definitely recommend you and your PR get an attorney to CYA. (Cover Your ASSets) on this deal.

This deal sounds complicated, I would definitely recommend you and your PR get an attorney to CYA. (Cover Your ASSets) As someone mentioned earlier, the liens are attached to the property and doing a QCD,or any other transfers, short of a sale or refinance will not remove those liens. Good luck.

Hi Rebecca, well since your not technically a newbie, I'll say way to go on your first post and your first investment. May this be the first of many fruitful investments! Congratulations.

Welcome to Bigger Pockets. I'm finding people here very friendly. Good luck in your new venture.

Is this property bank owned? Or is it a FSBO? Are the properties being sold as a package, or could you by them separately? If so, could you just buy the 4 unit? What is the price of the 4 unit alone? I've learned you can't Force the numbers no matter how much you want the deal.

The only numbers you can play around with is the rental income and the selling price? Can you raise the rent? If so by how much? What's the lowest you can get the property for and make the numbers work?

Hi Kari,

Welcome to BP. I'm new here and from NY as well.  I heard there was a BP meetup on the 26, but I don't know the where and when, (Time wise.) I too want to become a Developer and I'm thinking I should find a Development company to volunteer my services so I can learn and grow.  Hope to meet you in upcoming BP meetups!

Welcome Cameron! I'm new here myself. @Michael Lee How is the RE market in Dallas. I met a guy online through a real estate group (Purely business) We used to discuss the difference between the NY and Texas market. We were both shocked at what we could get for our money in our respective states! Mine was shock when he showed  me the properties I could buy in Texas, the prices of those properties and the amount of land you get! He was flabbergasted as to why anyone would spend the exorbitant amount we New Yorker's spend for a property with no land, lol. Are there good deals to be had in Texas? Do Texas have a lot of multi-unit buildings?
