Hi an welcome to Bigger Pockets great Question that depends on you most People would want to do it themselves an get a Feel of the In-Outs. an some will trust a Property Manager.
that will depend on you an how comfortable you are if it's out of state then yes get with a Property Manager call at least 3 or 4 an see how long they have been in business are they with BBB an so forth since you don't want your Phone Ringing all night from your Tenants about Roof Leak or Toilet flooding ETC.
But if your Buying a Property an this is your first time then connect with other's in your local Real Estate Club an get to know the Laws of your County. Hope this helps good Luck.

Sounds like your talking about House Hacking. I would recommend joining your Local Real Estate Club in your area an rub shoulders with others. also listen to some Podcast on Bigger pockets of House Hacking.

Greg Good For You an Your Partner I have Dealt with a Few here In Indianapolis. but i was just like you that it went our way I usually help the squatters by putting them in Contact with a Friend or Family Member. or if that does not work I take them to what we call the Shelter. I usually give them food an Money to help them since i use to be Homeless at one time.
