Hmm. If you're referring to Pittsburgh,  I get feeds for multis every day. Perhaps my criteria is set up differently.

Hi Megha, best to start with a licensed realtor who has years of experience working with investors. They should in-turn have access to lenders, contractors, property managers etc. Best to interview 3 then stick with 1 that serves you best. I've lived here my whole life and know the area and market very well as I'm in and out of properties every single day. Now with that said I'm very curious as to what kinds of properties you are interested in with the BRRR method. You'll find Pittsburgh a very affordable market for investors and can be a money maker as long as you know the area. Properties, prices and your investments earning potential varies by neighborhood and sometimes by street within those neighborhoods. Feel free to reach out further.

I'm often asked: Gare, why should I invest in Pittsburgh, PA?

I can proudly say that Pittsburgh is very attractive to both the home buyer and real estate investor. Favorable housing prices for buyers exceed those of other more saturated and higher priced markets. Average rents are rising--good news for buy and hold investors. Big tech companies and healthcare corporations are contributing greatly to employment opportunities increasing demand for residences.

So you can see many factors make Pittsburgh a strong choice for real estate investing AND living. But to succeed you've really got to know the market. That's where I come in. For over 20 years, I've served both home buyers and investors to help them achieve their real estate goals. My strong work ethic, communication and negotiation skills combined with my use of automation and social media make me a powerful advocate for your needs. So, let's have a chat soon to see how I can help you invest in Pittsburgh!

That's very subjective and depends on 1. What you're looking to accomplish 2. What type of investment do you have interest in, have the time to manage 3. What areas are you attracted to. 4. If getting involved with rentals, who are you looking to attract and 5. How much capital are you working with and are you prepared to run your calculations? And this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many things to consider when investing in real estate. So talk to a lender, investment experienced agent, property manager if need be and fellow local investors. Get on automated searches based upon your desired criteria,  go with an expert to see these properties,  research,  calculate and carefully plan your investment. Best of luck to you.

Pittsburgh has proven to be a very strong market for investors, both local and remote to the area. But one must really educate themselves on the market in order to be successful. Pittsburgh neighborhoods are very diverse and certain areas are growing in the right direction. Others not so much. I've lived here my whole life and have seen a lot of changes throughout. I'm in and out of properties every single day and really have a solid understanding of the market here. Be happy to share knowkedge as I love to talk about Pittsburgh and REI.

HI Adam, lived here in Pittsburgh my whole life and know the area and market very well. Your criteria is certainly something we can discuss further. One thing to consider though as your going through online reviews is that many people never ask those who has issues to submit reviews. So you may get glowing recommendations that are biased in nature. What may work better is if an agent's clients are willing to personally talk with you about their experiences. That way you can control the information collection session a bit better. Social media presence, I agree, is crucial towards benefiting one's business, no matter what arena it is in. I mean seriously, why not use all of the tools possible to increase exposure. Feel free to reach out to me further. Thanks, Gary
