Other than carpet and replacing the treads with hardwood treads, what are some good alternatives for durable stair coverings?  They go down into a finished area of the basement.  I attached a few pictures for reference.

Anyone wanna buy 12 working Kwikset smartkey locks?  I seriously just want to fully transition over to the Landlord locks but Im having a tough time getting rid of all the working kwikset locks I have.

@Ryan Parnow I think that is the system I'm going to switch over to

Ive been buying them at Home Depot/ Menards.  Are you getting the contractor ones?  Id been getting the slightly more expensive ones since they were ANSI 1 rather than ANSI 3 on the contractor 4 packs Ive seen.
